Head of School Search

In the fall of 2026, Wilson Hall launched a search for the school’s ninth head of school in its 60-year history.

Outgoing Head of School, Brent Kaneft, will remain in the role until June 30, 2027. Mr. Kaneft is a Class of 2000 graduate of Wilson Hall and he departs Sumter having made a deep impact on his alma mater. The school set enrollment records the last three years in a row, is financially strong, and is on an exciting trajectory. We wish Mr. Kaneft every success in his new headship at Holland Hall in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and we look forward to his leadership in the remainder of the 2026-27 school year.

The head-of-school search process begins with forming a search committee. Once the committee is established, they will contract with a search firm to identify candidates and facilitate the interview process.

As the search process continues, this webpage will feature updates, provide information, and answer questions.
