Homecoming Traditions

Homecoming at Wilson Hall is filled with traditions that connect generations of Barons, and one of the most anticipated came at halftime on Spencer Field when Livie Pedersen was crowned the school’s 55th Homecoming Queen. The senior class nominated seven members of the court, and students in grades 9–12 selected the queen by vote. Joining Livie were Ava Bukauskas, Sofia Dall’Erta, Jenna Green, Caroline Moorman, Peyton Naylor, and Savannah Wells. Mr. Brent Kaneft, Head of School, presented the crown, while 2025 Homecoming Queen Ella Sill returned from Clemson University to present Livie with a bouquet of white roses. Olivia Sharpe and Millie Shaw served as flower girls, and Preston Schwartz as crown bearer. More than 1,300 people gathered on Spencer Field for the special night, including hundreds of alumni and former faculty members who returned to campus for a true homecoming. The Classes of ’81, ’86, and ’06 were especially well represented as they celebrated reunions organized by Mrs. Leigh Edmunds McLaurin, Director of Alumni Relations. Organized by Mrs. Rachel Brown and Mr. Sean Hoskins on behalf of the Student Council, the ceremony reflected the traditions, memories, and sense of community that make Homecoming at Wilson Hall so special.
