Faith and fellowship met the outdoors as members of the Sacred Steps Outdoor Club enjoyed a beautiful day hiking 4.5 miles at Poinsett State Park. Along the way, the group stopped at the historic Hilltop Shelter, built by the Civilian Conservation Corps, where sponsor Mr. Lee Gandy shared a devotion from Psalm 46:10, reminding students to slow down, be still, and remember God’s presence in the midst of busy lives. Led by club president Paige Sanders, the hike reflected Sacred Steps’ mission to grow in faith through quiet walks in God’s creation and concluded with a sweet lakeside treat, donuts shared in gratitude for a great day, a great crew, and a meaningful reminder.
