Oklahoma! is officially underway! Forty-one cast members, three production assistants, and the five-member production team spent a Sunday afternoon beginning rehearsals with refreshments, theater games, acting exercises, a full script read-through, and their first time singing the score together. The lively afternoon marked the start of a months-long creative process that will carry the cast from those first pages and notes all the way to opening night.
Wilson Hall will present Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma! (Youth Edition) April 15-17 at Patriot Hall. The production team includes Mrs. Lori Brown, director and music director; Mr. Sean Hoskins, producer; Mrs. Jen Alford Reimer, choreographer; Mrs. Rainey Barrineau, vocal coach; and Mr. George Carruth, production consultant. Together, the team will guide students through the many stages of bringing the classic American musical to life on stage.
