A strong message and great fellowship gave students plenty to think about at the Fellowship of Christian Athletes gathering during lunch. Mrs. Julia Beynor, varsity girls tennis coach, used the image of a compass to show how easily distractions can pull us off course. She explained that, just as nearby magnetic forces can affect a compass, outside influences can cause us to lose our focus on Christ. Mrs. Beynor challenged students to keep Christ at the center of their lives, be mindful of the things competing for their attention, and stay grounded in their relationship with Him. The meeting offered students a meaningful opportunity to connect, reflect, and encourage one another. The FCA, open to all high school students, is advised by Mrs. Molly Matthews and meets during lunch on alternating Wednesdays.
