Hanging in Founders Chapel, the cross created and gifted to Wilson Hall by renowned sculptor Grainger McKoy carries a meaningful connection to faith and history. Crafted from reclaimed beams from the Church of the Holy Cross, its plaque notes that “since the early 1850s, this wood has been marinated in prayer” and inspired the cross’s simplicity and humility. A small wood-burned feather is the only mark of McKoy’s craftsmanship.
