Barons Go Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness and Celebrate Region Championship

With a Region Championship on the line and a crowd of Baron supporters filling the stands, Wilson Hall closed the regular football season with a 34-9 victory over Northside Christian Academy. The evening was filled with special moments as senior football players and cheerleaders were recognized alongside their parents. The cheerleaders added to the celebration with a halftime performance to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” choreographed by Mallory Hobday ’20, and created banners for the players to break through as they entered the field. The game was also designated a Pink Out in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Madelynn Davis served as the 12th Player, carrying the Baron flag onto the field, while Abby Hodge sang the National Anthem and Mary Katherine Dutcher offered the invocation. Numerous alumni returned for the game, including members of the Class of ’16, who gathered for a reunion on the Bynum Rooftop Garden. With the Wilson Hall community out in full force, the evening was a fitting celebration of the seniors, school spirit, and another Region Championship for Baron football.
