Learning from members of the community is an important part of the educational experience at Wilson Hall, and our preschool students enjoyed a special visit from the Lugoff Fire Department in recognition of Fire Prevention Week. Firefighters taught the children about fire safety, introduced them to firefighting equipment, and gave them an up-close look at a fire truck, which was the highlight of the visit. The visit was especially meaningful because one of the firefighters, Lt. Jeremy Tidwell, is a Wilson Hall parent. Visits like these bring learning to life while helping our youngest students develop an appreciation for the people in our communities who work to keep us safe.
