Bringing History to Life in the Library

History came to life in Mrs. Hayes Jones’ library class as fourth- and fifth-grade students explored a collection of World War II artifacts on loan from Operation Footlocker and the National WWII Museum in New Orleans. Students were able to handle items including uniform pieces, soldier handbooks and guides, a yearbook, a cricket clicker, face camouflage, and part of a parachute. Experiences like this are part of Wilson Hall’s focus on literacy, helping students connect reading and research with hands-on discovery that makes learning more engaging, memorable, and fun.
