Bringing classroom learning into the real world, our AP Business students participated in the first of five mentor meetings they will have throughout the year as they develop their own businesses from start to finish. Students shared their business ideas, target customers, market and competitor research, and possible competitive advantages before receiving valuable feedback on what they should test, research, refine, or consider next.
We are grateful to Mr. Tony Barwick, Mr. Ed Bynum, Mr. Cary Coker, Mr. Zach Hicks, Mr. Justin Kohl, Dr. Clay Lowder, and Mr. Stephen Williamson, successful businessmen with close ties to Wilson Hall, for sharing their time, experience, and insight with our students. Their willingness to invest in our students reflects the strong sense of community at Wilson Hall and the meaningful relationships that connect our school with alumni, parents, and friends.
These mentor meetings will continue throughout the year as students build, test, and refine their businesses, ultimately concluding with a Shark Tank-style pitch at the end of the year. We deeply appreciate the involvement of these mentors and the role they play in bringing classroom learning to life. AP Business is taught by Mrs. Alex Judson.
