Bringing the Constitution to life through discussion and hands-on learning, Wilson Hall welcomed two alumni back to campus as guest speakers for Constitution Day. Gulie Moore ’15, an attorney with Smith Robinson and a representative of the S.C. Bar Young Lawyers Education Committee, led students through the interactive “No Vehicles in the Park” exercise, demonstrating how laws can be interpreted in different ways and sparking lively discussions among the students. The activity also highlighted the important role each branch of government plays in applying and preserving the Constitution. Owings Holler ’21, a student at the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law, also returned as a student volunteer and shared a presentation on the purpose and importance of the Constitution. The alumni spoke with students in AP Government, taught by Mr. Lee Gandy, and Government, taught by Mr. Sean Hoskins.
