Grandparents and extended family members play an important role in the Wilson Hall community, as demonstrated by a recent visit from a special kindergarten Mystery Reader. Mrs. Jane Morrical, affectionately known as “Gigi,” surprised her grandson Simon Kimber’s class by reading one of Simon’s father’s childhood books and bringing edible treats inspired by The Cat in the Hat. With both of Simon’s parents deployed since last spring, his grandparents have traveled from Texas to care for Simon and his younger sister, Harriet, a Preschool 3 student. Their involvement reflects the important role extended family members play in supporting our students. Wilson Hall values the many grandparents and other family members who contribute to the school community through their time, involvement, and support.
